WHAT TO EXPECT

What time is service held?
The airing of virtual service is recorded live every Saturday at 2:00pm. All are welcome to attend the taping and broadcast of service in person.
Where does CGI-New York meet?
The New York congregation, of the Church of God International, records the livestream of our virtual service in front of a small studio audience every Saturday in Queens, NY, at:

Public Transportation:
Take the 179TH ST-JAMAICA bound
Train to the 179TH ST Train Station Stop. At Hillside Ave/178 ST, take the Q17 bus to Horace Harding Expressway/162nd ST bus stop.
Start on Horace Harding Expressway, The Fairfield in is across the street, beside the gas station.
What do I do when I arrive?
When you arrive to CGI-New York, you will find members setting up the audio equipment and preparing for the day’s service. You will see others sitting, awaiting service to begin, while other members are socializing with each other.
CGI-New York has an expansive digital congregation, while those that gather in person to watch the streaming of our virtual service form an intimate group and are very friendly. As you enter you will be greeted and helped to a seat.
Should you arrive after service has begun -no problem-, don’t be bashful about entering while service is in session at all. You will be greeted and lead to a seat.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is wearing whatever you feel comfortable in. Some members dress casual, some wear suits, there is no dress code.
What is the music like?
Several hymns are sung at the beginning and end of service. Acoustic renditions are performed during service.
What are the messages like?
The messages delivered at CGI-New York are bible based. The speaking is in a lecture format with holistic points being made, with scripture being expounded upon in support by the speaker.
Do you take a collection during service?
No, a collection is only taken during service on religious holidays, which occurs seven times throughout the year.
Can’t make it in person this Saturday?
Not a problem. Feel free to watch services live online at 2pm every Saturday.
